HOT TIPS:
Coordinate your eyeshadow to go with
your eye and hair color rather than the color of your clothes. For blue
eyes and blonde hair the best looking eyeshadow colors are violets and
lavenders. Use the violet on the lid and in the crease of the eyelid. Use
the lighter color lavender above the crease to the eyebrow bone. Eyeshadow
recommendation for blue eyes and blond hair: Indien.
I find that tawny tones perk up blue eyes
and lavender will also bring the blue out in your eyes. Colosé "Indien" duet
eyeshadow has both of the colors you need. I also think that you
should stay away from black eyeliner and mascara. Try a blue/grey mascara and either
a grey or blue eyeliner
pencil.
Brown
eyes look great in grey, plum and pink tones as well as golds and
burnt oranges. The intensity of color you wear depends on your skin tone.
For a fair skin, use grey on the eylid, plum on the outer edge of the eye,
and pink under the eyebrow. For a medium to deeper skin tone, the plum
could be used on the lid and into the crease area. Colosé Safari Gold and
Orient (deep plum) eyeshadow duets are perfect colors for you.
For green eyes I
recommend that you pick colors with shades of pink in them including a
pink-purple color. Also look for salmon, mauve, and brownish-pink to make
the green look greener. Applying the color is very important. The newest
trend is to apply a light color (say pink) to the upper lid and lower lid.
In the middle (crease of your lid) apply the contrasting color such as the
brownish-pink (for a more smokey look) or that purplish color (for a more
dramatic look). Blend the two colors slightly. Avoiding a dark color at
the lower lid helps to make your eyes appear bigger. Always use a mascara preferably
brown or black and curl with a lash curler this will also enhance your eyes. Finally, I recommend you go to your
local salon and get an eyebrow waxing. Eyebrows are very important to
shape and help the eyes get noticed even more.
