Skin Care Questions

I have very dry and flaky skin.  And since I was a child I have had problems with black heads not on my face but on my arms and all over my legs.  No matter what body scrub or soap I use combined with scrubbing they will not go away.  This has made me a little shy which is not me what so ever.  Along with having these red bumps I have battle with picking at them and have a few scars.  I don't know what to use or how to get rid of them.  Can you please give me some advice on what to do.  Thank you.

When you think about dry and flaky skin you probably think that your skin only needs moisturizing.  However, quite the opposite is true.  Try washing, using a toner, and moisturizer.  Regarding your blackheads, it sounds like you may have an issue with clogged pores.  Again, washing and exfoliating can help with this too.  I have listed below some of our products that I would recommend.  Thank you for your questions.  I hope this helps.  Hope to have you visit our site again soon. Colosé Cleansing Lotion * Toner for Sensitive Skin * Body Scrub

I am 17 and have had bad eczema particularly on my legs since I was a baby and I am also allergic to grass .. and "moles" in the air (i dont even know what they are!) for the past year or 2 it's been particularly bad, each time I've been to the doctors they've prescribed me stronger and stronger steroid cream, all this does is makes my skin sting and very thin, it's got so thin that I am now "gouging" skin out of my legs causing big friction type burns that bleed, without even realising I'm doing it. Both of my legs are covered in scars and it looks horrible, I have olive coloured skin so the scars are particularly dark. How can I get rid of my scars and prevent any further ones? are there any treatments besides steroid creams? HELP PLEASE?!! any advice?

We have a brand of skin care that is amazing.  If you have not tried our Colosé Skincare, then you should.  I would recommend starting with our Body Scrub followed with Body Lotion with Alpine Herbs.  You should see results within a couple of weeks.  Good luck.  Come back and visit us soon. Fondly, Katrina

Hi I'm a 45 year old male. I have good skin. Only a slight wrinkle at the eyes. Most people tell me I pass for a man in his 30's. I do have bags under my eyes. A hereditary trait. What can I use to keep looking young and to reduce the bags under my eyes.

Puffiness under the eyes can be caused from fluid retention. To reduce fluid retention be sure to drink plenty of water. Fluid retention occurs when the body has too much salt and not enough water to flush it out. Try to spend most of your sleeping hours sleeping on your back. You can apply a cool, soothing substance to your eyes for 5 minutes to reduce fluid retention. Try cucumber slices; damp, chilled tea bags; or a damp, cold cloth.

I also recommend our soothing collagen mask. You can place the unopened package in the refrigerator for an added bonus. Use the mask when you have at least 15 minutes to spare. Besides collagen, the mask also has other moisturizing agents such as CoQ10. The mask sells for $8.88.

What are some of the symptoms of rosacea?

Rosacea is a combination of skin symptoms, not simply acne seen in mid life. While not all people are going to experience all of the skin changes associated with Rosacea, experiencing more than one symptom at the same time is typical. The skin changes include: redness of the face, flushing, the presence of small blood vessels, acne, surface irregularities of the nose, skin sensitivity, enlarged sweat glands. Rosacea symptoms are diminished by controlling oil production, reducing inflammation, reducing cellular build-up and minimizing bacteria production on the skin. It is very important to have and to follow a skin cleansing routine. While you are out and about you may want to try using our new Bren Camouflage Corrector. A wonderful product for covering rosacea.

Hi yesterday I tried popping a clogged up pimple I had and I applied too much pressure and it took off a peice of the first layer of my skin! I was wondering if that was going to turn into a scar or a dark spot even if I didn't touch it?

Everyone's skin texture is different but I do not think that this will leave a scar or a dark spot. Even though it is recommended that you do not pop pimples, it is something that you just can't help but do. So in that case you should remember the following: Thoroughly cleanse your skin with cleanser and popping a pimple right after a shower is the best time to do so. Gently apply pressure over the pimple head. If material is expelled, absorb it with a clean tissue. Then press again to be sure all material is expelled. Wash the area again, thoroughly with anti-bacterial cleanser. Apply a clay type acne masque such as Colosé Green Clay Mask in a thick layer. Remove in 10 minutes. You may also want to apply Bren Heal and Conceal to the area. It is an excellent acne fighting product and contains Tea Tree Oil, a natural antiseptic, disinfectant and antibacterial.
